March 22
So i decided to just spend the day and catch a night bus to nacza. I walked around the town a bit found a place selling civiche,so good, then just hung in the plaza catching up on here and wondering around a bit more. There is something going on here because all the school kids are in the plaza dressed in their uniforms with flags and theres a military band and some people possible protesting something.
So while walking around I found a coffee shop so I popped in for a bit. Then wandered around trying to find a place for lunch well I walked around for ages looking for some pig meal but everyone was sold out. I ended up having a pretty nice lunch overlooking the plaza. I started with choclo y queso, which is steroid sized corn and cheese. Then I had grilled alpaca. It was a bit chewy but not bad. After lunch I sat in the plaza and wrote some postcards and ended up chatting to a local girl so she could practice English and me my Spanish. She was actually on her way to take an English test. I then went to buy some more post cards and stamps. I was gonna send a bunch but it was gonna cost around 30 bucks to send them all, pretty crazy. So sorry many of you won't be getting postcards or I may mail them when I get home. Haha. I went back to the hostel hung out had a shower and grabbed some dinner before heading overt catch my bus.
This bus is amazing like a first class air plane almost. Haha supposed to be the best in Peru.

Well turns out I am human, I'm not sure exactly what it was but I threw up shortly after the bus started. It could have been the pork or cow heart I ate for dinner or just the swaying of the top deck of the bus or the painkiller I took. I think it was a combination of all. Mainly because I felt nausea when the bus started moving but not before. That's why I took the pain med, The naxiosoduim stuff and I only threw up like 2 heaves then felt pretty decent. So who knows. But I didn't sleep to well but oh well.

March 23 (Happy birthday ken)
When I got in to nacza I asked the woman selling bus tickets what way was towards a street I wanted to go to, well she new it was the hostel and said she'd call them and someone would come meet me, again because this area is notorious for bad/sketchy taxi drivers. Well a few mins later she showed up with a sign with my name. We caught a taxi back and she even paid for it.
Well I checked in got sorted then went to the lobby to check email and what not. There were other travelers there talking about the flights over the nacza lines. How its so hit or miss many of the companies got shut down because there was an accident a few weeks ago and now there is a fuel shortage. I wasnt sure I wanted to pay over 100 for a 40 min flight anyway. Well there was an amercan girl that wanted to go see them from the mirradors, towers look out points. These lines are in the ground and can only really be appreciated from the air. But we decided to give it a shot. Well we caught a bus to the palupa lines, which we pretty nice we could see 6 or 7 figured because they were on the side of a hill. Very interesting and amazing considering no one really knows how they got there.
The buses pass every half hour in either direction and we didn't want to sit in the desert heat so I said we should hitch and as soon as she agreed the very next semi that passed picked us up. It was pretty sweet. I've never been in a semi the guy was super nice and chatted to us a bit. The girl had majored in spanish so that helped. He took us to the nacza mirrador tower, here we could see 2 figures but they were on the ground below us so it was hard to see, not being high enough or far enough away, pretty neat non the less. Then we walked about a K to a hill where we were supposed to see more but there were no figures just a few lines. When we got back to the road we hitched back the second car this time brand new plastic on the seats picked us up. He was super nice too said he was delivering the car to cusco but he stopped a couple of Ks out of town for lunch so we thanked him and again the second or third car picked us up and dropped us right in the town center. It was really amazing how easy it was and how nice everyone was. We spent a total of 7 soles just over 2 bucks. Haha the first bus was 3 soles and the towers were 2. Anyway when we got back to town we decided to grab a bite to eat. We went into some local restaurant and both had the menu of the day. I had cow or pigs feet I think it was decent little mushy texture but good flavor and the hot sauce on the table was nice, bit expensive 15 soles about 5 bucks but not bad. Haha guess my stomach bug was, just I don't know. Most people get sick for days, both ends. Haha I did take a 2 year old imodium before the bus ride just incase but who knows how much that helped. Haha.
When we got back to the hostel I just relaxed the rest of the avo deciding what to do the next 2 days and mucking around on the net as well as reading my Spanish book.
I eventually decided to go sandboarding on cerro blanco the tallest sand dune in the world tomorrow even know it will be expensive because I am alone, I think it'll be cool. Then ill head to hucachina to do a dune bugy tour then Lima. Later I went out for dinner only 6 soles about 2 bucks my starter was a decent chicken soup followed by some spicy chicken and rice very solid. I got some snacks and money for tomorrow then nicked off to bed.

March 24
So I had and alarm set 4:45 but I woke up around 4 am for some reason. I met my guide at 5 am and we headed out. We drove about 23 KMs out of town then hiked up for about 2 hours and 15 mins apparently it takes at least 3 hours normally so it was nice we could just jet up. When we got to the top we ate a little snack then strapped in. Oh the guide was pretty nice but only spoke Spanish so our convos were limited or atleast my understandings were. Haha
Anyway we had a few pitches to head down the first few were short and not to steep plus the board are super crap, plywood with some Velcro straps impossible to link turns with. But the last pitch was the big steep one. Luckily I know how to ride switch  so just went back and forth toe side. It was pretty fun, the view was pretty rad and made it more worth it. We defiantly got some speed, would have been awesome with a real board and bindings.
Well we got back to the road so quickly we had to wait 1/2 hour or so for our driver. They took me back to the hostel where I showered had breaky and packed up. I'm currently on a bus to ica to then take a taxi to huchachina to do the dune tour tomorrow should be sweet.
Well I arrived and no problems getting a taxi to hucachina we drove around the tiny oasis, 2 streets because we couldn't find the hostel I wanted, he finally had to ask a few people, it wasn't really on a road it was right in front of the oasis. Anyway I checked in and the guy immediately started offering me buggy tours, for some reason the am tour was only and hour so I opted to do the one that was in about 20 mins. Haha
Well this place had real snowboards so I got all sized up ate a snack and we were on our way. The buggies are pretty rad but I would have much preferred to drive or even quads, something like in Namibia. The cool thing was I didn't have to hike up the dunes to ride down them we just drove around a bunch and ended up on tops of some and got to ride down. It was pretty sweet. Not as big as this AM but better because it was a real board, I think they were a bit bigger than Namibia but not sure. Everyone else in my buggy just sledded down, a group of English girls and a columbian guy. We had a very nice sunset out there.
When I got back I met 2 guys in my dorm who later happens to come to the same restaurant and joined me for dinner where we also had an Irish solo girl join us as well. We all had nice set meal for 10 soles and just hung out chatting.
After dinner I had a shower and called Daniel but be was in a movie so I called Denisse then wound up going to bed.

March 25
So I woke up early and managed to get a hold of Daniel through emails and got an address and directions. Then I had breaky with a couple of the guys from my room then we all packed up and took a taxi to Ica. Sebastian the columbian and I were both headed to Lima so we went together the German guy was headed south so we said bye and parted ways.
The bus wasn't the best but around 4 hours or so later we finally arrived, a bit of traffic in the city but rush hour on a Friday. Haha. I got to the bus station and had people heckling me for a taxi, I hate that so i went up to the nice quiet guy and asked him. I tried barging a bit but wasn't worth it so whatever. I called Daniel on the way he said he wasnt at home but would be soon and his grandmother would let me in.
Well I couldn't remember the house at all and couldn't find the number for a few mins but finally did rang the bell and his maid answered the door and his grand mother was inside. I said hi to her she told me to relax and have a seat and wait for Daniel so that's what I'm doing. Haha she and some guy left to go to the beach she said don't know if it's the same house were going to tomorrow or not but.
Well daniel finally arrived and we just sat around catching up a bit. Then had some dinner and I met his mom and sister, turns out that guy was his father never got introduced really though. Anyway Daniel talked about going out but the second I lyed down I pretty much fell asleep. Haha so we didn't.

March 26
So we got up relatively early but just had breaky and mucked around waiting for his girlfriend Ale to wake up and get ready. We finally went over to her place and picked her up and went to the beach.
When we got there the surf didn't look great so we just hung out on the beach they both took naps and I scouted out the area. Once it started getting cold we headed back and Andrea called us so we made plans to meet at a sushi restaurant for dinner. It was pretty good we had one roll that was a mix of sushi and ceviche pretty awesome. After dinner we went back to the house and played some cards until Ale decided to go to bed and Andrea went home. Shortly after that Ales cousin showed up and convinced daniel to go to a club so I had to follow suit. It was a neat looking place but still not a fan especially since we stayed out till 4am and i really wish Denisse was there to talk and dance with. We finally did leave around 3:45 or so. Gabrel, Ales cousin stayed behind. They party so hard and crazy here.

March 27
So we had a slowish morning but Ale, daniel and I went out for some chicharon a local typical breaky some pork sandwiches with onions soaked in the awesome lime juice. It was pretty solid.
After breaky I walked around to try and find some surf but there wasn't much there was some size but it was so fat and mushy I didn't bother going out we just hug on the beach and I chatted to Gab. They finally decided to leave so they dropped me off by a market and an internet place where I called Denisse and read some mail.

March 28
I was super tired this am so I didn't got out surfing right away but I did check it and it was still fat and mushy looking but a bit better and bigger than yesterday. I had breaky and watched a surf movie to get motivated then finally went out. It was pretty crap but I got a few good ones. Then I watched a normal movie did some washing my socks and 2 shirts the socks still stink terribly. Haha.
Then I went to get some ceviche which is where I am now waiting for my meal. Then to internet to call Denisse before bed. Andrea called me and asked if i wanted dinner just after I ordered though so I think we gonna grab dinner tomorrow. She's so nice she offered me her place to stay again and her car if I needed it.

March 29
So I got up checked the surf but couldn't see anything because it has been so foggy. I decided to have some breaky and hope it would burn off a bit. Well I finally went out for a session. It was pretty fun I got some good ones. Again not amazing but ok. Man there were alot of dudes out there though for what it was.  Oh I forgot to mention the Peruvian surfer girl champ was in the water yesterday so that was sweet.
Anyway after my surf I went in had some food and watched a movie. Then went out for another surf. This time it was nuts how many guys were out and it wasn't amazing or anything, just fun well sort of more like surfing In land mines, you couldn't do anything really except dodge people. So I decided to head in and go try and chat to Denisse, but unfortunately she had to much school work to do. So I just wrote her an email and checked the surf report. I'm supposed to be having dinner with Andrea tonight she called a bit ago and said she'd be here in 40 mins. Well its about 9:10 and that was about an hour ago. Hope she gets here soon I have snacked alot and I'm getting tired. Haha
Well she finally showed up with her sister,Xiemena, around 9:45 at least they brought dinner and we didn't have to go out for it. Haha They brought a rotisserie chicken, salad and some fries all were solid. We had nice dinner just chatting and catching up they even washed up after I told them not to, just great nice girls.
