Talia and I just got back from Machu Picchu and we had the most amazing time! The expedition was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. Right now the computer I am using is horrible and I am having a lot of trouble typing so I will try and write later, but for now at least I have pictures up.

We came here first to pick up our porters for the trek. Our group had 15 people in it and 21 porters.

Here we all are, still fresh and clean, and excited to begin the hike.

This was a beautiful day-- no rain!-- and the scenery was spectacular

This night the sky was really clear and there were more stars out than I could even fathom

Along the way locals sell goods on the side of the trail-- it is strangely comercialized

Day 2 was the hardest-- we went over two high passes and back down again

Now is the rainy season and the clouds made everything very enchanting

The clouds moved in and out very quickly and unexpectadly. We were constantly changing our clothes and taking on and of our jackets.

Machu Picchu is not the only site to see-- there are many more ruins along the way

These ruins were optional to visit at the end of day 2 and you had to go up another 100 steps to get there and Talia and I weren´t sure if we would make it, but it was well worth it

We had a mini photo shoot here-- they views changed constantly as the clouds came and left. One minute you couldn´t see anything and the next you could see perfectly clearly-- you never knew what was going to happen

Right before we left the snowy peaks in the background appeared

Shortly after this it started raining pretty hard so unfortunately I had to put my camera away
