The trip from Puno to Cuzco takes the better part of the day where we travel through the high Altiplano region.

As we are told, Cuzco is the continent’s oldest inhabited city and the hub of the South American travel network which we make a base, before we take on the Inca trail. It is a city filled with history, inca tradition.

Here we relax and explore this fascinating city, and take time to acclimatize to the high altitude and see some of the ruins that are just outside of the city. On our first night we are also taken out by our local guide 'Roberto'' to experience the Peru nightlife. On our second day here we have the opportunity to do the full-day rafting trip which was a great rush.
