Your intrepid explorer
Me at the edge of Laguna Quilotoa before walking back to Chugchilan - a couple of days before I had walked up from the lake to the top, a knackering walk! Incidentally, those sunglasses are now somewhere in the rainforest, if anyone finds them can you let me know

A long way home
Taken from the edge of Laguna Quilotoa, the tiny white spot right in the middle is the village of Chugchilan, which it took about 6 hours to walk to, including going down into the canyon you can see to the right

Misty morning

Ma hoss
Coral, the horse that took me up into the cloud forest, and on which I managed to hang on while galloping. Obviously couldn't take a photo while on it, that's a bit too advanced

Quechuan women
Women at a house that we stopped off at to 'see how they lived'. Sounds voyeuristic, but they seemed genuinely happy to show us round their house, which was mud walls and thatched roof, with a wee section inside for the guinea pigs. Cotopaxi is on the right of the photo, although it hasn{t shown up very well
