Hola.
Well, the loud speaker guy never came by this morning so I was able to finally sleep in until I wanted!
I had breakfast again at Tiki Limbo. Decided to go for a fruit, granola, and yogurt breakfast with some pineapple juice and tea. I'm becoming a regular so it's pretty nice. Braeden and I were talking today about the difference between tourists and travelers...tourists are the ones sitting in the expensive restaurants watching and making comments on the travelers who are eating and enjoying the street food. It's amazing to not feel like a tourist, I actually feel like I live here right now - great experience!
We had class this morning from 10-12 again and learned some irregular verbs and conjugations of each. Afterwards we grabbed lunch at a new place that just opened in town. I ordered Cordon Blue and was excited to see what actually was going to come on the plate. When the dish arrived it was a ham, cheese, and chicken piled on top of each other with some sort of sauce with mushrooms. I was pleasantly surprised when it actually tasted pretty good. After lunch I headed back to the hostel for a quick nap in the hammock before class at 3.
After class we hung out at the cabanas waiting for the friday night bbq to start...all you can eat for 5 bucks (fish, chicken, beef, rice, salad, etc.). The food was pretty good and we danced and played games until around 10pm. Raya and Braeden skipped out when dancing started...apparently they donīt dance. When I finally made it back to town and cocktail alley, I couldnīt find either of them...I figured they called it an early night. I met up with some other people from the cabanas in cocktail alley and had a few drinks. Some new girls joined us at the kiosk, Steffi from switzerland who is doing some research in the jungle for her environmental science degree and Emma from the UK who is just travelling around. Around midnight we headed to the club and danced until 3am. I planned on going til the sun came up but apparently tonight was just a warm up for the fun on Saturday...the biggest party of the year in town that ends up going until noon the next day. So I hit the sack around 330am and called it a night.
