What a night.

Needless to say I had a little trouble getting to sleep since I didn´t have my trusty fan with me. I had to fall asleep to crickets and dogs barking every once in a while. It finally happened.

It was prety warm in the cabaña. I slept with a sheet and a light blanket under my mosquito net and had no problems with bugs...VERY nice! I awoke at 7am from a guy on a load speaker driving by yelling something. I don´t know what it was and I don´t care...why is he yelling in a loud speaker from his car so early in the morning?!?! I went back to sleep and woke up around 9 to finally go do some surfing.

I threw on my board shorts and rashy and grabbed my bottle of water and headed into town to pick up my board from school. I grabbed a quick breakfast before I made it to school at one of the restaurants. I had 2 eggs, granola, toast, yogurt, and hot milk (didn´t know what leche was when I ordered it)...all for 3.50!

I picked up my board and headed to the surf. The waves were AWESOME. I joined some locals arounnd the best spot and was watching them do their thing while I waited for something a little smaller. I finally paddled into a great wave and started catching it when I heard yelling behind me. I turned and looked and saw a local riding the same wave in my direction with a very pissed off look on his face. I didn´t know surfing etiquette, but I quickly learned. Surfers take turns riding waves and I learned then and there to look out for others who are surfing and to NOT "steal" a wave from others. I felt bad and didn´t want to get my butt kicked, so I paddled to shore and headed down the beach to a more quiet spot to get my learn on.

I surfed for about an hour, then laid out on the sand to work on my tan. I plan to be black by the time I head back to the states. At around 2pm, Braedon and Raya found me on the beach. I gave Braeden my board to go and try surfing. He was pretty amusing giving it a shot but did pretty well for his first 10 minutes to ever surf! He picked up a 2 hour rental from one of the shops and joined me for a couple hours in the water. He´s hooked!

After surfing we headed back to our respective hostals for a shower and then met up at class around 5. We had another 2 hours of grammar with Erica and another 2 hours with J
