so it turns out that i have a slight shopping problem...who knew this?? oh no silly question..but the floodgates opened in the markets and did not close until the end of the week...so i panicked abit when we went through our budget and i found that id spend 300 pesos over budget (cara had spent 200) the panic stopped when i worked out that that was only 65 squids...and thats on clothes, drinks, entry into the zoo, food and going out that we hadnt budgeted for...just as well we did this on the last day or i might have thought ´mmm thats not that bad´!! i think it might have been a bit through depression of the knowledge that the gorgeous columbian had a girlfriend..damn it-but she is going to england in september for 6 months so dont be suprised if we jet off back to buenos aires around this time!!
musuem, the club we went to on wednesday was absolutely fantastic-what could be better than what can only be described as a gay club with beautiful, rich, straight businessmen in suits...mmarvellous, this is why i love buenos aires it just comes up with the best ideas...well of course i had to sample abit of argentine culture (when in rome...) his name was juan (obviously and he was beautiful) and i must say i think he must be a very good businessman and i say this because he comes up to me asks something in spanish (which i had no idea what he was saying..but obviously giggled-international language!!) and then says in english ´do you like argentine men?´ but in more of a statement way than a question and then goes, also in english ´well lets get straight to the point...´and kisses me..he must make deals all the time: swift, to the point, and once the deal was sealed walked away so that it could not be broken...very good!! sorry dad ... !!
so it seems i just cant help myself when in buenos aires, men, shopping, cafe ing-i think it might be my favourite city in the world...oh and the steak did i mention the steak...mmmm dont seem to have done! well it is just the most delicious thing i think ive tasted-we went to a restaurant called siga la vaca (continue the cow) and that is exactly what it is...you pay 52 pesos (8 pounds) for all you can eat bbq beef of all different cuts and origins, its all freshly cooked there, you also get salad included with it and chips (if you can fit them in ), a bottle of the house red ( yum yum yum yum yum yum yum!!) and a pudding (which like a cow me and cara have a special stomach reserved for the massive profiterole, swimming in chocolate sauce that followed!) all included in the price....JEALOUS???!!!! we were meant to go out this night but i think we got our 8 pounds worth of food and im not sure that any alcohol that we consumed would have had any effect us at all as it would have been absorbed into our bloated bellies..so good though well worth it!!)
off to quito next, well as the title suggests we did go to quito via santiago and guayaquil-which caused maxiumum amount of confusion for me and cara coz the check in lady said we didn t have to get off the plane (i think she was talking about our bags) we did, and then because we forgot the time differences in each country we got confused as to why we had to get off when we meant to be flying in 15 minutes...no no girls an hour and 15 minutes (its alright we´ve got this travelling malarky down to a tee!!) well we got into quito eventually (12 hours later) and cara got interrogated a little by the customs lady...its coz she shows of with her spanish, i on the other get ushered through pretty quickly (behind little comments of ´stupid german girl´...grrr not german..no no thea no antagonising the customs staff!!) arrived in our hostel to the complains of a girl who had come back from the jungle and ´neeeeaaaarrrrlly died...our canoe capsized and i hate water and i lost my glasses and so i waaaaaaaassss blinded..drama drama drama,´me and cara hiding behind a magazine, trying to stifle our giggles unfortunately we lost it when a guy who had done it previously in response to her ´i almost drowned´statement, says, ´you cant have is not that deep...´ should have seen the look on her face...oh no amount of grazia holding could hide our amusement at the expense of this girl who we had to share a hostel with for the next few days, well we re leaving tomorrow to go to the cloud forest-we may have outstayed our welcome!! not sure what a cloud forest is but i shall be sure to tell you on our return... go to buenos aires its amazing!!!
