interning , sort of.

So i am on my internship right now, almost two weeks in. it is far less than i expected and puerto lopez is far from being anything close to amazing. when i do work, we go out to monitor the beaches for turtle nests at night, and we go shark monitoring on weds and sats. we have started , very early stages of implementing environmental education into the schools, but besides that i have a TON of downtime, which means i sit in the hammock and read and listen to music. i have already read into the wild and freakonomics twice each , plus three other books i rented from a bar. the ocean is nearby but i dont know, . i went surfing last week though that was really fun, didnt get up but did stand so it was worth it. that was down in mantenita. this week we start going to the schools for environmental education, and friday we leave for punta prieta, catherine´s bday party is on saturday. then i only have next week left in my internship and we are hopefully gonna learnt o scuba dive and capture and measure some sea turtles. anyways i come home on the 11th so if anyone friend wise is in town, let me know and we can meet up.other than that, have a week in quito after next so will be tying up loose ends and packing.
