After a day of rest from the diving (by the way we passed the exam and all that- good old multiple choice :-) today we went into the Parque Nacional Tayrona- a national park which covers a large chunk of the Caribbean coast east of Taganga. We did most of our dives in the western part of the park but the eastern part is said to have the most beautiful beaches so we took a bus and spent the day there and it truly was the most beautiful place I have seen. 28.01.06 Die Nacht war wieder mal schlimm. Da es draussen stark windete, schlug die Tuere dauernd auf und zu und draussen machte es auch staendig irgendwelchen Laerm, sodass ich kaum ein Auge zugetan hatte. Ich stand um 06.00 Uhr auf. Eigentlich hatte mir Robert angeboten, kurz seinen Laptop zu benutzen, doch er kam bis 06.30 Uhr noch nicht nach draussen. We are now at the end of our first week in Colombia and so far not a sniff of a guerilla, cocaine or a kidnapping! On the contrary I have found the country to be beautiful and the people really friendly and welcoming (unles you come from the USA when they may be less so although most of them seem to have the broadness of mind not to blame all Americans for the sins of Mr Bush...) 21.01.06 Ich verliess kurz vor 07.00 Uhr das Haus und lief zum Terminal. Den Direktbus nach Santa Ana habe ich soeben verpasst. Ich setzte mich deshalb in den Bus, der nach Punto Fijo faehrt. Um 07.30 Uhr fuhr dieser endlich los. Etwa eine Dreiviertelstunde spaeter kam ich bei der Kreuzung an und wartete auf den naechsten Bus. Kurz vor 09.00 Uhr erreichte ich endlich das kleine Doerfchen. I spent the night in Taganga which is really close to S. M. and by taxi it doesnºt take more than 6000 pesos to get there, but I was clever enough to sleep in La Casa de Philipe and pay 10.000 pesos for a bunk bed. :)) anyway it was much too hot to sleep so I went out and actually had a nap in a hammock, with a nice dog sleeping beside me and keeping me company.
