Back at altitude with attitude again but I must be getting acclimatised. Great Bogota. Home to Bolivar’s greatest and lowest moments and still alive with a sense of history, passionate, proud and over populated with beggars. Popayán is sold as the white city and again as one of the most beautiful cities in Colombian (I gave up counting how many most beautiful cities they have here). To cut a long story short I didn’t like it that much. It has a lot of old buildings which are mainly white and the usual thousand churches but I’ve seen better in Columbia. Well I've been back for a week now but thought I'd put some more pictures up. I would have done it earlier but the computers were soo slow in Colombia and I didn't have much time to spend in the internet cafes. Better late than never though. Cartagena was ok but a little dissapointing. After having spent the previous 2 weeks traveling through Colombia and meeting only a small amount of tourists, Cartagena was a bit of shock. This adventure started on Saturday morning when I left with some of the coolest AIESEC people Santa Marta heading for Baranquilla where we were suppose3d to spend the next 5 days. The event, SDL, Leadership Development Seminar, was absolutely great. If you believe my guide book then San Agustin and Tierradentro are one of the most important archaeological sites in South America. Well they better be because the bus ride to San Agustin consisted of over 4 hours being shaken in a minibus as the road to the town is still not paved. Tierradentro is another 7 hours of which 2 are again on dirt road and on the way back there are about 2 more hours of the same.
