Hola again!!!!
ok...so this is just a second part of our trip!
We flew from Cartagena to Neiva and from there we went straight to San Augustin...I went there for the second time and still love it!
the nature is just amazing...and of course we were lucky, cause we found this "Casa de Nelly" - imagine cabañas sorrounded with a botanical garden, animals and friendly people (like always in Colombia)...it was just perfect. First we planned to stay there for 2 days, but at the end we spent there 5days :)
An why exactly did we go there on the first place???
The San Agustin archaeological park in Colombia includes a wide variety of stone sculptures carved between AD 100 and 1200. In the park are an amazing array of separate stone sculptures, in the shapes of animals and warriors and human faces, some mythical, some realistic. They are carved out of volcanic rock - some are over 4 meters tall and weigh several tons. Lovely.
We were just walking around the park whole day, met this funny, open colombian group of people...sometimes I still can't believe how nice&open colombians are! It is sooooo much different in Europe.
From San Augustin we went to Salento, which is well known because of the Cocora valley . This is a valley in Colombia considered a wildlife sanctuary (here I took those pictures of hummingbirds). ..but most of all - there u can see the highest wax palm trees
Our next stop was Manizales with its thermal baths and then we went to Medellin. I love this city. I already published one blog about Medellin so I won’t repeat myself.
We made our last stop in Bogota…just for 2days, cause they didn’t have more time…basically we just did some shopping - so now I am a proud owner of a new, red, big hammock!!!!! Can’t wait to swing in it when I come back…
3 weeks with my girls flew by like a brief moment…but time always flies when u are having rum ups… fun :)
I still can’t believe it that they were here! Of all the people/friends that I know back home in Slovenia I would never think that at the end my family will visit me. So cool!
At the moment of writing this I am still in Bogota…I just realized that I have a big problem
cause I can’t move my ass out of Colombia! I love it here!
Besitos a todos, kisses for all - specially for my mother&sister
