A bientot!
Hey everyone. I am currently in Cartagena and I have been enjoying this great city for the past few days. The first day we didnt do much because we got in late so we just had supper and went to bed.
On Tuesday I walked around the Matuna district (the downtown area). It's a cool area because between the high-rise office buildings there are hundreds of vendors selling everything from baby chicks to toothpaste. Oh yeah, I also had to buy my 3rd bottle of shampoo in 3 weeks because I realized I had forgotten my last one in Taganga. And the first one I bought I had accidently spilled it all in my bed in San Gil. So here, I am, with my 3rd bottle of shampoo in 3 weeks... hopefully the last! Anyways, in the afternoon we met one of Alex's friends who lives in Cartagena and she showed us around the city. The old city is really cool and gives of a really cool vibe. It's kind of like Quebec City because it's on the water and it has a wall around it.... but not as cool as Quebec of course!
Yesterday (Happy St-Jean everyone!!), we woke up at 1PM so we didnt do much. We walked to the beach at Bocagrande (about 30 min walk) and we stayed until the sunset and then we walked back.
Today we went to the Volcan Totumo, which
is a cool mud volcano about an hour from Cartagena. We booked an organized tour from the Casa Vienna for $35,000COP including lunch. It was really worth it. The mud goes 2300 metres deep but you can't sink. It's this really weird feeling of weightlessnous. Anyways, check out the pictures. We are probably going to go out tonight because it is our last night in Cartagena. Then I am off to Medellin to meet a friend.
Until next time!!

All is well back home. Melissa called yesterday and said she was having a great time. Good to hear from you. Take care!
Love you!
Is that mud therapeutic or what? No wonder you run out of shampoo. Check out the flight deals I emailed you from Lan website directly from Medellin to Quito. I would fly if I were you!
Love you and miss you!
