Cali, Manizales, Medellin and Santa Marta

Well its been a very busy week! We left San Agustin and got a bus to Cali which took absolutely ages as at one point we got stuck in a massive hole in the road and had to dig ourselves out. Well I didn't personally help but it did look pretty tiring! We arrived in Cali which was so HOT, we spent the afternoon relaxing and went out to salsa in the evening. The main strip was very deceptive as everywhere looked busy but was very dead inside so we didn't have a wild night. The next day we got a bus to Mainizales, which is in the coffee region. We stayed in a really cool hostel where we met Laura, who we have been traveling with ever since. We spent the evening watching Maria full of grace, which was a stunningly moving Spanish film about Columbian drug mules, I strongly recomend that everyone sees it. The next day we did a tour of a coffee plant and walked up a hill to a coffee farm, which gave us amazing views of the surrounding area.
That night we took another bus to Medellin but unfortunately we couldn't´t get into the hostel we wanted, we went out that night but everywhere seemed very expensive. The next day we had a wander around Medellin and Took a 17 hour bus to Santa Marta, which is on the Caribbean coast. Its absolutely beautiful here and we have spent a few days relaxing at the beach. It gets up to 37 degrees each day! Tomorrow we are setting off on a 6 day hike to a lost city, which can only we accessed through this trail. I´m very excited and will return with hundreds of pics!
