Colombia, Bogata and onwards...

Hi all,

Here´s the first of many travel blogs hopefuly...

Took off from England, then Spain, and met a nice Colombian who i chatted with on the flight over which made the journey shorter and more interesting (hi Miguel)

Stayed in a pretty ordinary hotel which was also expensive, so after sleeping for 12 hours straight (despite a street party with full sound system right outside my window!) i decided to move on. Saw the main sqaure in Bogata which is faced by grand churches and museums.
Left the next day to Bucarramanga on a ten hour bus ride through spectacular mountain scenery. I´ve never seen anything like this in Asia or anywhere else. Massive peaks, deep valleys and snow covered peaks.

Then the next day caught another early bus to Santa Marta which is on the beach - my primary goal.
Stayed in a pretty cool hotel, then onto Toganga, a small fishing village About 6k East.

And sice then thats about it really. I´ve settled myself here since. Its been 4 days of sun, beer, pretty girls and a Terry Prattchet novel. (And plenty of hammock time of course.)

Leaving tomorrow mourning for the legendary city of Cartagena, then onto another out of the way beach resort, so I´ll keep you all posted.
