Hopefully this blog will allow you all to see where I am and to know that I am safe.
I have been in Colombia and so far there have been no problem, apart from my foot falling down a drain (no damage done). I spent a month in Cali with my Aunty and cousins. I had a brilliant time and loved spending some time with them as it dosenīt happen very often! I also had the opportunity to help at the Collegio Colombo Britanico which was brilliant and has made me realise that I definatly would like to teach abroad for a couple of years, defo somewhere hot with lots of sexy men!!

I left Cali last Friday and embarked on a 13 hours coach journey across some scary mountains to get to Bogota. I must admit there were points where I felt slighty exposed, blantent gringo! However despite this I managed to survive the trip on my limited spanish. I arrived in Bogota and was instantly hit by the coldness, Cold in Colombia!!!, I could not believe it! Its like being back in the uk, well ok the UK is atcually colder but to me it feels pretty darn cold.
In Bogota I am staying with Val, a friend of my Aunty Felicity. She has a lovely flat next to a huge supermarket, as you may know this is one of my fav locations. Over the weekend Val has show me all the sites and sounds of the city and I have really enjoyed seeing the ubundance of Culture that they have here.
Today i have some into the school that Val teaches at, The English School. The kids are all lovely and you get free lunch and coffee so its a big thumbs up for me.
Tommorrow morning bright and early I begin my gap adventure tour. I will be flying to Caracus, Venuzula early in the morning then somehow finding a taxi to take me to the joining hotel!! Wish me luck!!
