Ready to eat the best deserts ever?

San Antonio

Another village in the East of Antioquia, San Antonio de Arma de Rionegro is synonymous with deserts, there I was like a child ready to taste those delicious deserts, but do not blame me, their breathtaking deserts made with so much patience and expertise are their best showcase

Why San Antonio?

It seems that a local found a silver medal from Saint Antonio and for that reason, they started building a chapel .

The village is constantly visited by a great number of tourists who come here mainly to get those deserts. It was so funny seeing the large queue, everybody struggling to get a desert. Although I was not able to get a desert at the most popular place -the queue discouraged me as I am not the most patient eater-, I found a place where I was able to taste some of those wonderful flavours offered there. It seems that it is a great business to sell candies there.

To taste:

Postre de leche asada (made of three different kinds of milk), Postre de melocotón (peach), and according to a video I watched, the place offers desserts made of avocado, yuca, macadamia, milo, brownie and Fabio Rendón talks about more than 85 different deserts.

People also come there to pray as the church is quite visited.
