
Well another long bus ride brings me to my second blog!
I'm en route to Parati, Brazil in what is expected to be a 20hr ride! So let's go back a few days to where we left off...
I sadly departed Colonia after only 1 1/2 days to Montevideo, which I have to say was a massive non-event! We were gonna head to a beach resort 2 hours away for the day but thunderstorms were predicted so we all did our own thing. Joel and I headed to Rio Negro, one of the major strets in Montevideo for some lunch and to check out Plaza Independencia. Under joels supposedly amazing navigational skills we went entirely the wrong direction, but even when we realised that the streets around us weren't even on the map he insisted we continue, and I insisted I ask a local where on earth Rio Negro is! One nice woman pointed in the opposite direction we had walked in for the last 15 min. "but noooooooo" Joel insisted "half the time the locals don't know what they were talkig about". tan lineWas lying in the sun all peaceful and then they threw water at me and i totally got my revenge! But my tan line was disgraceful! Check out the towel in the air aswell!
