I met the real Beal the Seal...

A month ago I spent a holiday weekend at the beach with my roommates, Thiago and Eve, and another couple, Matias and Romina. As much fun as being the fifth wheel sounds...the poor weather, dirty hotel and 8 hour car ride complicated matters a bit. But I can't complain because I knew what I was getting into and it was not all that bad. We did get a little sun on Saturday, the seafood was good and it was a cool beach.

Those of you that know we sometimes call my brother Josh "beal the seal" because of his middle name will probably get a kick out of the pictures. Funny to that Farol de Santa Marta was a beach he would love because it has great surfing. Another shout out to the bro...as of Friday he is officially a lawyer in California if any of you need his services. Congrats bro! proud of you!!

Aside from the beach I included some more photos of Porto Alegre (per mom's requests) that my roommates took so you can have a better idea about the city and where I am living.

Also a very nice surprise last week that all of ROGON Brasil will be flying to Germany this Friday for ROGON's annual Christmas Party. I can't wait to see all of the old co-workers and friends and brush up on the old German a bit. It is going to be pretty funny watching my 15 Brasilian co-workers who speak only portuguese at an Xmas party in Germany during the cold winter with Germans. Should be an interesting sight, a lot of fun and a lot of time spent being a translator considering I am one of the few who speaks portuguese and german.
