Waking up in Rio

After a good nights sleep we got up, still a little bleary eyed we pulled back the curtains to one spectacular view from our bedroom window and terrace.

We decided to use our first day to do a quick shop and explore the famous beaches of Rio; Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. It somewhat came to prove we underestimated the enormity of the beaches and ended up walking for hours in the baking heat. We arrived back 2 red faced gringos and Richards feet were blistered to sh*t.

Lesson learnt...buses from now on.
