Rained this morning it's the first rain we have had quite surprising as it is so lush here we thought it would rain every day, however warm and dried out by 12. We went on a land train around Buzios looking at all the different beaches and places of interest, really pleasant as it was children's day here just made me a bit homesick seeing the little ones with their mums. We stooped at a small amazonian cafe where we ate a pancake/tortilla made of manioc and coconut and filled with soft cheese and then drunk graviola, the lady who served us said her grandad worked once with Charlie Chaplin, she made it all in front of us real fresh it was called cupuacu i think i just wish we had had 1 each it was so good. In the evening we walked into town but it rained again so stopped at a restaurant and Steve had his first curry-prawn curry served in a pineapple, it wasn't what we would call curry a bit on the mild side, I had Steak and chips not healthy or adventurous but I was hungry as we had had no lunch just banans and biscuits courtesy of the land train. Came back and watched a video of tinker tailor soldier sailor and we both fell asleep watching it.

Forecast was rain but its dry so we started walking to town then saw a water taxi so we took that to the centre. Started shopping for havaianas and other bits and pieces and had the most delicious ricotta chesse cake with passion fruit sauce with our coffee. More shopping and then started to walk home but was attracted to a restaurant on the sea front called Peixe Vivo Orla Bardot 805 look it up at www.peixevivobuzios.com.br it was probably the best meal we have eaten yet. Buffalo mozzarella like I have never tasted followed by paella featuring lots of octopus also like I have never eaten absolutely yummy and the staff lovely would so recommend this place. Going in to town this evening to listen to some music, but can't eat another thing so full I need to walk another 3 miles at least
