Getting up this morning in Puerto Iguazú, Argentina, we proceed our journey to Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil, with the intention of staying there for the night. Immigration wasn't a problem, and the next thing we knew, we are in Brazil.
Foz is so much bigger than its Argentine counterpart of Puerto Iguazú, and a lot more things going on. It feels like a real city, not just a hungry town of tourist's money. Several tall buildings that serve as hotels are spotted, and streets are wide and nicer. Foz is a very diverse city; not just latino/a faces; from what I've read, back in the 50s and 60s, the Brazilian government allowed and accepted many immigrants from all around the world to Brazilian citizenship, and put them in Foz. Many muslims and Asians, along with Caucasians, called Foz their home.
Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls offer a better ride of all: helicopter "Helisul", which is not allowed in Argentine side. Nothing compared to our ten minute ride above the Iguazú Falls, seeing the falls in a bigger picture. The green Parana rainforest surrounding the falls, gives an effect of secluded feeling.

enjoyed the
Parque des Aves, a bird park that is built in a real rainforest, so provides a natural habitat of birds. It was unbelievable to see the birds in a closer observation, especially on macaws, toucans, and cockatoos.
Iguazu FallsArgentine has most of the falls, but Brazilian side offers better comprehension of the falls.
A CoatiDo not feed coatis - no matter how cute they are.
CoatiMe with a coati, a mixture of squirrel, racoon and monkey?

Looks like a great spot for some 'Pool Drills'!
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
Thanks for the dialogue and pictures! Have fun in the great country of Brazil. You will have to take some pictures of the scenery (i.e. ladies). Enjoy yourself
Question - where did you stay? Would you recommend it?
Erin: we stayed the first night in Argentine side (Puerto Iguazu), which is so much smaller than its Brazilian counterpart (we stayed there on our second day). We stayed in hotels both nights, which have competitive price due to its nature of competing for tourists.
Foz has a better town feeling, so if I had to pick out of the two, I would stay in Foz. If you have two days, I would recommend exactly what we did - stay in Pto Iguazu for a night, to explore the Argentine side of the falls - then second night at Foz, exploring the Brazilian side of the falls. Good luck, if you have any other questions, please let me know.
Argentina's side or Brazil's side is the same nature, let´s see this point of view
FYI - Your photo labeled banana trees is actually a photo of heliconias.
