Isla del Sol, Bolivia
Walking on Isla del Sol, Lake Titicaca, Bolivia. Took about 3 hours to walk the length of the island, which was beautiful, more like somewhere in the Mediterranean

The Dragoman truck crossing part of the lake after we left Copacabana in Bolivia. Luckily we didn´t have to go on the dodgy looking raft with it, we went on a dodgy boat instead
Atacama desert
While running - well, kind of trotting - down a big sand dune in the Atacama desert in northern Chile, I put the brakes on to take a picture

Don´t know why my camera decided to respond like this, but thought it was quite a nice image anyway, even if there are no colours!

How could I be in South America without taking a photo of her? This one is on top of the biggest hill in Santiago, can´t remember the name of it now
Volcan Vilarica
Near Pucon in Chile, if you look closely, you can just see the puff of smoke coming out the top. We got a cable car to the snowline and then it was about 4 hours to the top

At the crater of Volcan Vilarica, notice how expertly I am handling my ice axe. The lovely trousers were the ones they gave us with a plastic bum to slide back down with. Honest.

These woodpeckers were busy on one of the walks we went on near Fitroy, they didn´t mind if you went quite close to them

Hi Morag - the photos look great. A million miles away - literally. It's great to find out where you are and what you are doing - the miracle of modern science!! Loved the woodpecker - he looks very busy!! Hope to get another update soon. Clare x
