The Barn Dance
Being the total losers Jason, Chrissy and I are, we spent much of our time in Santa Cruz in the hotel room playing euchre. Now THATS living.
there really isn´t much to say here. i got here after chrissy had already been here for several days and we immediately started a pattern. every night we would go out for an incredible meal that cost around 4 dollars per person and wash it down with several paceñas (bolivia´s main beer) and wine. it was very similar to my lifestyle while in the capital in the DR, hanging out, eating too much and drinking. i met nearly every one of jason´s friends over beers and lots of coca. it has been a blast, i just wish i had some interesting pictures to show you or good anecdotal stories to tell you. but, when you spend every night hanging out playing euchre while drinking wine, you won´t end up with much interesting to say. so, theres 3 weeks in a nutshell.
Chopping Meat with the German Sandwich Man
This chilean guy (god knows why they call him german) apparently makes the best street sandwiches in Bolivia. He also gives you free swigs of rum and coke and lets you do the chopping of your meat.
Dancing at the Despedida
This girl, Melissa, is unbelievably gorgeous and even knows how to bachata. Unfortunately I was wearing my new Celine Dion shirt which she found less than attractive.

They sell these things in the market. People bury them under new building sites as a tribute to the Pachamama, Mother Earth.

We went to this big state fair thing in the town just down the road from Santa Cruz. It was pretty crazy. All of us mounted the mechanical bull, and none of us looked very good while aboard.
