Bolivia Sept. 12 -17th, 2010
When we booked our flights to South America, we had to come to terms with the fact that time (and more importantly money) was running short. We booked our flight to Lima with the resignation that some of the countries we wanted to see would have to wait for another trip. Luckily we got to see a bit of Argentina and Uruguay purely by fluke. Now we were in the south of Peru, and people kept talking about Bolivia. Being as how we were so close, and it was only a bit out of the way, we decided to go check out at least a small part of it. Although we were only here for a few days, we were glad we could go and see it and add another country to the list. We spent two days in La Paz which is just another big congested city. Not much to do, hence write about. On the way back to Peru, we spent two more days in a small town on Lake Titicaca called Copacabana. WE explored some of the islands on the lake, and as there was not much else to do, we
deceided to cross the border back to Peru and continue on our original course which is due north. Bolivia was just a small detour for us, now we hope to continue our way up the coast of Peru, and eventually Ecuador. Lots of bus time ahead!!!
