I arrived back in the Hostel and had a few beer after Huayna Potosi then went to bed and got a solid 12 + hours sleep, well deserved I might add.
Next day we were back on it, most of the guys were still in the hostel I felt like celebrating and thats a good a reason as any I suppose so we all decided to go mad, as if we all werenīt anyway. The Wild Rover being Irish owned was havig a big party for Aurthurs day and the fact that its half way to St. Patricks day. So that only made things worse..... We stayed in the wild rover till close as usual then went out to a club till close.
The next day was a complete wright off, we got up un usually late due the extra unusual hour we partied till. We got India take away watch a few DVDs and went back to bed.
There are a few hostels like this in La Paz and being the capital plus a middle ground between Macuh Pichu and everywhere in the south there are constant parties, I love it here. Iīd love to stay and just
like LSB most people stay longer than they mean too.
Once we had all recovered I went off and booked the "Death Road" tour for a group of 9 of us from the hostel. If you dont know what it is Google "Death Road" or "Death Road La Paz". Itīs basically a cycling trip down what is classified as the worlds most dangerous road, due to number of deaths.
I got Ed (one of the guys staying in the hostel) onboard even though it was to be his first night working in the bar at the Wild Rover. So 3 of us ended up staying up past 2am drinking and being very hungover for our 6.30am start.
The trip was really good and worth while if ever in La Paz. I researched loads of companies and I found the best ones with full downhill bikes and at the cheapest price, they were only a new company so had low prices. After talking to others who paid more and less than us we definitly got the best company so if anyone is ever doing it look for "Luna Tours" they were brilliant!! I wish my bike at home was as
good at theres!
We got back to the hostel tired but in the mood to party and it was Pub Quiz night in the hostel which we kicked ass at as well, just for added reason to celebrate!!! Basically the same as before so I wont repeat but a party is a party and it goes off here every night.
We had one quiet night in the bar were everyone much have been hungover or have left either way the next day Maeve and me left for the Amazon Basin trip.
