Sucre-Je monte
Sucre-going up!
National holiday today. The city is quieter than usual. We were supposed to visit a centre for single mothers but it was closed.
Plan 2: a visit to the mirador, an outlook over the city. Once you get up the steep hill, you discover a mix of tranquility, cool winds and amazing views. The walk up from the main square was 1km up a street that was as steep as Camilien Houde road on Mount Royal. I was thinking of my cyclist friends as I walked up. Coming down I stopped at a market where local artisans were selling their wares. What a pleasure to
charlar with them!

Its so empty where are all the people at home because its a national holiday? Thought they would be out enjoying the sunshine? Cold and damp here a grey day. Just made cup cakes for a friends birthday all coming here for lunch tomorrow. Then more friends coming for tea on Saturday, so busy cooking at the moment. Though I'm just about to go to another friends house for lunch so all in all a good day! Take care loving the pics
