DSC00919Scenery from the boat trip was stunning!
Hello Everyone Again,
We just arrived in Buenos Aires after a nightmare mammoth 48 Hour Bus Journey. Long Story but it involved No leg room, crazy bolivians, queuing up with refugees at border control and cochroch infestations on the Bus....oh yeah, we got conned out of 100 Dollars too. But we are safe in BA and have to say it seems pretty cool so far!
We completed a four day trip into the bolivian amazon and we both agree it was the highlight of the trip thus far! The journey started by taking a short 45 minute flight from la paz on a vauxhall corsa with wings to the small jungle town of rurrenabque - pretty hairy! From there we travelled five hours up the beni river to a small ecolodge called chalalan. Have to say we weren't exactly roughing it. Roisin, you said to do something we would other wise think extravagant so this was it, Thanks.
Amongst the wildlife we saw was 4 different type of monkeys (5 including Lauren(, snakes, Cayman, Capybara, insects of all sizes and loads of wild pigs. Mum you would be proud of me, I only returned with one mozy bite!
Hope you enjoy the photos ,
Goodnight,
Lauren and Conor

Hi it's chris from PGCE here, just msging to say how class your trip looks, fantastic photographs of the locals and all. Have to say extremely jealous of your exploits, sure beats teaching with a big stick, something i'd like to do with some of the kids i teach.
Your trip looks fantastic, will definitely keep an eye on your travels. How yourself and lauren stay safe & enjoy yourselves to the hilt.
Extremely envious.
All the best
chris
