Narelle made me write this,... Well we were here only 2 days but in that time we became quite intimate with this tiny northen town of 30,000.. It consists of the usual small one way streets, as all towns in Argentina seem to have, but not the usual dog poo everywhere .. this is a town that appears to have nothing happening, oh, but it does... you just have to wait until the weekend.

At the end of town, where the river meets the land, it unfolds. On the weekend we arrived some big named singer greeted an enormous audiance as part if the 50 yr celebration for the monument de bandera.... a sun filled day by the river with some traditional music. Although not a word was understood ,the vibe was a warm one. The surrounding area by the river side offered loads of local crafts and of course bbq, if you havn´t had Argentine bbq your lucky, because once sampled you´ll never quit, even a daggy road side sausage sizzle can be a delight ...and we indulge freqently.

All in all, a fun little place, for the whole family and more interesting than Cordoba, who competes with for the tourist dollar. Really not much else going for it.. oh, Che was born here.
