San Martin de los Andes

After a frustrating few days in Mendoza we took an overnight bus South towards the patagonian 'lake district.' 22hours later, exhausted, we arrived in the small ski-resort town of San Martin de los Andes after we got a recommendation from someone we met back in Peru.

San Martin de Los Andes was a welcome change from the city smoke with its fresh air and quiet streets. It was great to stay in our own cabin and be able to cook, all for the same price as we had been paying for an average hotel room in mendoza.

This is a short blog entry as we spent the majority of our time relaxing in the cabin, cooking and hiking. Yes we are only 21! ....well 22 tomorrow for some of us!

Left SMDLA after 4 days and are now in Bariloche, which we are glad to say has proven to be equally relaxing and enjoyable so far!

Lots of love

Rachel and Chris

How old do you feel?
Well another milestone, it's all downhill from here on in. This is from all of us to both of you but because of the date mainly to Chris---- You will always remember where you were on your 22nd birthday and so will we. You guys have us all envious of your travelling and your blogs are fantastic. So always remember to take in every experience because this is the journey of a lifetime or really 2 lifetimes. But the real mesage is Chris, HAPPY BIRHDAY and have a drink for us and one or 2 for you and Rach. Love and cuddles from a small island off mainland Europe
