Hello!!! We haven't written anything in quite a while, because of slow internet connections and we wanted to post pictures. So get ready for some great pics! We'll blog later. Ellen and Tim
Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Tim!!!!
Yellow UnderwearWe noticed that yellow underwear was being sold everywhere in Santiago. It turns out that it is for good luck and that is why it is all yellow.
Crossing the Boarder WE crossed the boarder in the middle of the Andes. This is just the start of the amazing mountains. The boarder crossing made us a little nervous, but they let us into Argentina!
Tim BikingWe had a fun day biking to all the wineries.
Wine TastingWe went on a wine tour. The first stop was by far the best. Lots of free wine and a great tour in both Spanish and English.
MendozaWe ate on the pedestrian mall and were able to watch some beautiful traditional dancing by some children.
Puenta del IncaThis natural wonder is a stone bridge over the Rio de las Cuevas and glows an incredible orange from the sediment deposited by the warm sulfuric waters.
Spa at Puente del IncaThis is the brick ruins of an old spa, built a part of a resort and later destroyed by a flood. It sits below the bridge. The warm water drips over the building and slowing forms into the mountain.
AndesAfter checking out the bridge, we went on a mall hike, with some wonderful views of the mountains.
Little Ed SignHey Ed, you are everywhere that I go. I had to take this pics with some of my favorite people in the world, the ghilardis and edward Riggenbach.
San Luis ChurchWe really enjoyed San Luis. We met some wonderful people. Even though we didnīt do alot or what we were hoping to do, it was a great stop and we enjoyed the time. The church here was beautful as are a

New York CityWho would have thought we would find New York City while walking through the small town of San Luis. It turns out this is a casino.
A bit Lost in RosarioWith a few hours to spare we jump on a bus to the center of Rosario. Some how we ended up on the outskirts and just had to get off. Part of traveling is figuring out how we ended up in certain points

Bus RidesWe have been taking a lot of bus rides. Many over night rides. This is a typical bus that we have been on. They are very nice and very spacious.
Iguazu Falls!!!!Here is the start of our stunning time at the Falls. By far 900 times better than Niagra Falls. The water is immense and the sound incredible.

TimEllen:
One day late, but Happy Birthday to Tim. What a way to celebrate. You guys will remember it the rest of your lives. Did you do anything special (cake, candles, toasts. etc.)?
The pictures were emmensely enjoyable. Iguazu Falls really is fabulous. What a stitch to find the NYC casino in San Luis -- the replicas of the Statue of Liberty, Emprire State and Wriggly (right?) bldgs are a neat touch.
We know you're not much into football, but our Packers are doing very well in the play offs to date. After being down by 14 ponts in the first 2-3 minutes of the game with Seattle, they came back and whopped them decisively. Next weekend they will play the NY Giants and, then (we hope), on to the Superbowl.
Keep up the blogs.

Tim, Happy Birthday a little late. This way you can celebrate your Birthday for a week.
Ellen, it looks like you are keeping Tim in line. My question is did you buy any of the yellow underwear?
I am so glad you are both having this wonderful experience. I am so jealous. I hope you have a continued safe journey. Enjoy!!!!
great to hear from you...hope Ellen is fully recovered. Sounds like a cool time, and when you return you'll have to teach us how to cook the meat as you described. If you eat at 11PM...what does the rest of the day look like? Up at 12?
Love, Mom
No, we did not buy any of the underwear, but maybe we should have for better luck:)
The last time I read your comment, I thought it said Chance was walking....not quite...I was really surprised, but wouldnīt put it past him. Send some pics when you get a chance...L
