Iguazu Falls
Brasilian Side
Hoger dan de Niagara Falls (USA/Canada), en tweemaal zo breed, zijn de watervallen van Iguazu met zijn 275 watervallen verspreid in een hoefijzervorm over de Iguazu-rivier, het resultaat van een vulkanische uitbarsting die een scheur in de aardkorst naliet. Met oorverdovend geraas stort het water zich in de diepte. Slechts na 3 dagen met de mond open gapen, hebben we genoeg van dit schouwspel die de natuurlijke grens tussen Brazilie en Argentina vormt.
We kicken af van de reis in het Parijs van Zuid-Amerika: Buenos Aires (13 miljoen inwoners). Met zijn gigantische boulevards, pittoreske wijken en oneindige cultuurschatten is het terecht een trotse dame onder de wereldmetropolen.
