well, we have survived 2 days in buenos aires, and you could say its not exactly what the book described...
1.we are staying in an all jewish hostel in a room the size of a closet with one fan, i think i woke up at least 4 times last night gasping for air cause it was so hot, finally I realised i could switch my head to the other end of the bed. The people here are very nice though
2. all the nightclubs are closed for 2-3 weeks because of a fire a week ago
3. it is really hot, but everyone wears jeans, so we are sweating our butts off trying to fit in
4. the wonderfull 5 dollar steak meals everyone has been bragging about are not exactly up to our standards. last night, we some how ended up ordering a lettuce salad with oil dressing and a array of various meats on a platter, none of which looked to appetizing. the meat kind of resembles what it should look like hanging in the slaughter houses. i guess maybe those spanish lessons will come in handy....
there fore, we are leaving buenos aires for a week and heading to the lake district. we will be on a 19 hour luxury bus to the foothills of the andes mountains, the pictures look alot like jasper.
till next time
