ArtThereÂīs stuff like this all over San Telemo
This morning i went for breakfast - cafe con leche y medialunas (otherwise known as a latte and croissants) at a cute little cafe, and then I wandered around San Telemo (the area iīm staying in) for a while. Itīs a cute neiboorhood with lots of art and antique shops - and at least one internet cafe on every block (which is useful for updating this).
I got some empanadas to go for lunch and ate them in this really big park. They were caprese empanadas - which is useless information to most people other than my mom who iīm sure will find it funny.
In the afternoon i went downtown to the Plaza de Mayo, I saw the pink palace and the Madres de Plaza de Mayo who still protest every week.
I walked down Av. Florida which is a pedestrian street that my guidebook canīt get enough of - but while itīs nice without the spanish there was no way of knowing i wasnīt in any other big city - itīs all the same stores. Then I walked down to the obeisico and crossed the biggest street in the world.
Itīs 8 pm here, and iīm going to go
eat dinner (even though itīs still really early for dinner in Buenos Aires). And then thereīs a tango lesson at the hostel at 9pm, and possibly a tango show after.
Also, thereīs pictures this time...in case you canīt see.
Bottom of the ObelisicoI really should have gotten a picture from farther back but it would have involved standing in the middle of a busy street.
