Do they have steak houses in Argentina?
Well I think we all know the answer to that question, but that might be where we both stopped agreeing.
Picture not your normal steak restaurant "La Charca", we are talking a large open coal fire smoldering on the ground with sides of every animal hanging from a metal stand just above the red coals and gently cooking. This is some kind of shop front and once inside things did not get better for poor Leanne the Vege. We were ushered to our table to be surrounded by tigers leporards, antelope, deer, wild bore and cows all peering down at us from their respective postions around the walls.
With his belly empty from a day of not eating in anticipation for tonight Matt dived into the menu to settle on the house steak special. The choice was not quiet as appealing for Leanne who was happy to get a salad, nice Malbec and leave...
Med steak must be cooked on a diff setting here for when it arrived the hugh Kg hunk of the best steak you have ever seen was what would be considered rare but oh so jucy mmmhhhhhh and washed down
Steak timeNot exactly Med, but good all the same and how tender!
by the red wine Matt was in heaven.........
We arrived back to the "Clan" to get a good night sleep before our flight in our nice double room at the top of the building only to discover the bar was right out side our window and the band (very good I must admit) played until 3am. Lucky we were so zonked on jet lag and the finest Malbec that we slept through most of it.
Great party place and think we might be the ones on the other side when we return in a week.
Now off to catch a flight see the much awaited sights of Iguazu falls, oh we cant wait how exciting :o)
