Magnetic Island is magnetic in both name and nature. It got its name for the interferance it caused to Captain Cook's ship compass. Its still drawing people today! (Cheese!! Got that bit from the tour guide). Magnetic island is the sunniest spot on the Queensland coast with an average 320 fine days every year.
