We crossed pretty much the entire width of the country by flying from Perth in the South West to Cairns in the North East, and spent the next few days in our last backpackers' hostel whilst looking for a campervan. Cairns is a very popular tourist hub, being at the doorstep (in Australian terms, that is) of both the rainforest in the north and the Great Barrier Reef off the coast. It i ... read more
