The Sentinel
My local newspaper published a couple of articles to encourage sponsorship for the trip. I wanted to raise money for Children in Need or Cancer Research. But all charities distanced themselves from me with the line - "When your trip fails, we don't want to be associated with you"! So, Bollocks to them, let them beg elsewhere...

The Bike Odyssey. Day 1, 1st June Werrington - Uttoxeter - Burton - Leicester Last night at 6pm, all were assembled in the lounge for the “Last Supper”; Rory, Toby, Scott and Leslie. Harvey turned up with some beers and a strange present! “2001 a Bike Odyssey Memorablog”. This blog is a memorial blog to the 2001 bikepacking trip which started out from central England on 1st June of that year. It is being updated every few days exactly five years after the original trip took place, and written word for word from Andy Ganner’s journal.
