The pinnacle of the Peruvian section of this tour is the 4 days trek on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The trip departs from Ollantaytambo for a short bus ride out to the starting point. After group photos and passport checks and stamps the walking begins. Having been worded up by Dave on the difficulty of each day the gang contemplated what was to come.
