It's a five hour train ride from Xi'an to Luoyang across the loess plateau, a geographic term to describe the chasms of clay soil and dry river beds, where homes have been carved into the cliff faces. I moved to Asia back in the summer of 2003 as one of too many ALTS on the JET programme and i discovered travelblog to be a fun way of sharing my love of adventure and storytelling.
