Thu 28th Dec The Tongariro crossing trip was cancelled today cos of the weather so decided to squeeze in a quick trip to the west coast of NI. Drove to New Plymouth which took about 5 hours taking in the ridiculous SH43 Lost World Highway. You never know where some of these roads are going! Had a wander round New Plymouth, then took a walk around Pukekura Park at night where they're qui ... read more

Hello and welcome to my first blog!
Well, after a few suggestions and a bit of persuasion, I figured that I might as well do a blog after all! This is where I'll record my travels across New Zealand (with a bit of Singapore thrown in) over the next 7 weeks.
