After quite a rocky boat journey, we arrived in Wellington on the North Island. First impressions were that we liked Wellington a lot but the weather was awful - rain constantly! Hi...we're Karen & Jamie and we have left our jobs at home in 'sunny' Northampton, England (now 'self-unemployed')to pursue a life-long dream to travel. We started our year long around-the-world adventure on Feb 6th 2006 in Hong Kong. After 5 nights we are moving on to Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia (where a little work may be needed!), New Zealand, Fiji, Cook Islands & finally the USA.... full info
