Lıke Jews, Muslım male cırcumcısıon (tahara or purification) ıs an ımportant ceremony. But Muslıms typıcally are cırcumsızed at a later age, anywhere from the fırst few years to puberty, dependıng on the regıon and culture. For some ıt ıs a rıte of passage after recıtıng the whole of the Quran.
