This morning I went back up to Chatuchak (pronounced jutujak - or called jj by locals) Market as some of the shops are open during the week and it will probably be a bit quieter. I have a look around at some shops selling Buddha statues, then go for lunch at a little restaurant. I’m the only one in there, and they’re obviously not used to seeing non-Thai people during the week as no-one speaks ... read more

Comment on the place to myself
After years of dreaming about it, and months of talking about it, I finally made the decision to travel. In 2006 I gave up my job and set off on an adventure to South East Asia.........and I'm still here! Last year I traveled to Sri Lanka, India and Thailand and had an amazing time, completely falling in love with the places, the people and the lifestyle - not to mention the weather. This year I returned intending to get a job, probably teaching in Bangkok I thought.
