Ancient Galilee boat

This fishing boat dates from between 100BCE and 100CE. It has been suggested that it was the type of boat in use among Jesus' Disciples, and also used by the Jews against the Romans in the nautical Battle of Migdal in 67CE.

I had originally planned to visit Israel in '94, but Hebron happened and my plans were scuttled by the British Embassy cancelling all tourist travel to the area.
