A bonus of this campground is that campers don’t have to wait for the hot pools to open up. Campers can access them any time in the morning. We took advantage of this and spent the morning relaxing in the wonderful thermal hot springs, enjoying pleasant surroundings, and no crowds. From there we went on to Wai-O-Tapu thermal wonderland.
