I hiked over Mono Pass, in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, in Inyo National Forest. This is a hike that lasts for some 12km, and it got me to an altitude of some 11'000 feet. I went in early May. There was no snow at ground level, but we quickly reached patches, which got larger and larger, and eventually covered the trail.
