funny story actually - once upon a time British invade the land, try to steal the bell but can't figure out how to place it on a boat so they leave it at the shore - locals come along and drag it all the way back at the temple hill...local knowledge, local technology;-)
Once again having low expectations led us to liking the place a lot :-)
