Cooktown named obviously after the famed explorer himself is the place where Captain James and his crew beached the Endeavour in the estuary and effected repairs after coming to grief on the outer reef. In March we commence a 12 month trip around Australia with our children Suzannah (14) and William (9) and Brandi our 12 yr old Border Collie. Accommodation is in a camper trailer being pulled by an 80 series Landcruiser fitted with all the good gear! Our aim is to see some of the more remote regions of the country via a number of Australia's great 4WD treks.
