After the Lares trek, we had 10 days left before we had to catch our flight from Santiago in Chile to Auckland, New Zealand. We had thought about bussing it down to Santiago from Cusco and stopping off in places along the way, but so many travellers we met kept saying how great the Bolivian Salt Flats were.
