Prince Gong's Ramada

Our tour guide Martin told us Prince Gong was a very corrupt official absolutely obsessed with money! He built this ramada within his mansion so that he could sit just where Martin now sits, and have the water flow underneath him because water is a symbol of wealth. The design the stream makes within the ramada is the Chinese character for water.
